After the "China Seafood Expo" successfully held in Shanghai in 2004, the fisheries expo in 2005 was not been held for many reasons. The sponsers gave it up with a pity. But the potential fisheries market was highly appraised by the professinal companies. With the organizing of successful expos, Europe bruzil and American Poston have becoming the communicating centre of world fisheries.The fisheries in china was integrating into world market as economy.So the world needed a similar expo to bring famous companies from occident to china. Meanwhile the enterprises in china were expecting a local fisheries expo to open the world market. Shanghai, as the city connecting mainland with world in the highest level, is no doubt the best area to hold the fisheries expo.       
The leading of Shanghai Fisheries, Shanghai Fisheries Trade Association, associated with Shanghai Fisheries Office, China Aquatic Products Processing & Marketing Association and Taiwan Aquaculture Marketing Cooperative were going to hold a new fisheries expo in Shanghai.
