Sichuan Meining Industry Group Halal Food Company Ltd is one of the wholly subsidiaries of Meining Holdings Company, located at 60 Nan Hang Avenue, Innovation Industrial Park. A modern manufacturing complex of 20,000 sqm was built on an occupied land area of 120 mu with a gross asset of 86 million Yuan. The state of art abattoir is capable of slaughtering about 100,000 cattle annually. Processed meat is used in the production of Halal canned food with an annual production capability of about 10,000 – 20,000 metric tons which generate an annual turnover of more than 250 million Yuan.

The group is set up under the auspice of the State’s People Committee, the Ministry of Finance and China’s People’s Bank as the designated enterprise for the production and supply of special daily food products to China’s ethnic minorities. It is the first food processing company that was granted recognition from China Islamic Association.
The principal activities of the company involve two major vertical operations – processing of slaughtered cattle and sheep and canning. Beef and mutton are then used to augment the value of the meat by producing varieties of Halal canned foods. In addition, fowl ranges of canned food are also processed and produced. In order to comply with the Islamic food processing requirements and to avoid any non-Halal substance entering into the production line, appointed Imams are regularly supervising the whole chain of food preparation and production.
Currently, the group is ranked as the number one Halal canned food supplier in China. Renowned for its strict quality and production control, finished products are being exported to more than 30 countries including South East Asia and Middle East. Associated with the high standard of production and strict quality control, the group’s finished products are well received from both home and overseas customers.
